I'm looking for anyone researching Henderson families in Newton County, AR from 1850 and before. I have a Mary Francis Henderson who was either born in Arkansas or Missouri, said to have been 1/4th Cherokee Indian. She was born on January 5, 1843, her parents are unknown. In 1857 in Barry County, MO., she married George W. Vaughan and they later lived in Madison County, AR for the rest of their lives. I've been researching Northwest Arkansas Henderson families, to see if Mary might belong to one of them.
