I have been searching for a Mary Pierce, b. c. 1860s AR, daughter of Morgan Pierce & Martha Jane Hines. All I knew was that she married a SMITH in Arkansas and stayed in Arkansas. Morgan moved back to Lincoln Co., MO by 1870. There is a Nathaniel SMITH and Mary PEARCE married Apr. 7, 1881 in Newton Co., Ark. I believe that this may be the Mary I'm looking for. Morgan's youngest daughter, Lydia Francis PIERCE FLANAGAN married Jesse Hamilton in Newton County in 1889, so I knew there had to be a connection to this county. Any help is appreciated. I noticed there is a Nathaniel Smith age 8, adopted, listed with the Mark SMITH family in 1900, is this a son of Nathaniel & Mary? Thank you.
