James E Carlton,age 19, of Boxley,married Mary Jane Arrington , age 20, of Boxley. Married on 25 Mar 1894 in Newton Co. AR. D. Phillips, was Surety James W Young was Justice of Peace NOTES: James was son of James Morrison Carlton and Nancy Murphy. James died between 1895-1896. Mary Jane Arrington Carlton is on the 1900 Newton Co. AR. Census, Low Gap Township, Visit 25-25 with parents John R and Elizabeth Villines Arrington. Mary Jane Arrington Carlton had two children: Ora M Carlton, born Dec 1894 and James Alice (female) born Dec 1895. Mary states she was married 2 years and was a widow, so James died about March 1896. William Gibbons, age 22, was a boarder with the Arrington family. Mary Jane married (2) James W Gibbins in 1902 in Newton Co. AR.     2. Someone posted a query re Andrew Smith. I found an Andrew Smith, born April 1844 (age 56) who had married Mary Miller. Andrew was on the 1900 Newton Co. AR. census, Osage Townshp living with son Jacob F age 18 and daughter Zada D age 14. Andrew was born in TN. His father born GA and mother born TN.
