    1. [ARNEWTON] Missing Children PLEASE HELP
    2. noordhof
    3. Hello to all, I am sorry to send this to the list but since it deals with finding family there is no better place to send i The children of my husbands cousin have been kidnapped by their father, who is also wanted by the police for murdering his girlfriend in Holland, Michigan. The children are Asshley Gleeson 5 and Joshua Gleeson 3. We are hoping to find the children alive and well even though things are'nt sounding to hopeful. All we can do is pray for their safe return. Instead of sending pictures to the list I am sending the website that has pictures of the children and father and all the info you need to help. Please pass this around to everyone you know. Your help is greatly appreciated. http://codeamber.org/gleeson/ Thank you Sandy noordhof@swbell.net

    1. [ARNEWTON] Fw: Data cannot be restored.--ArkansasFamilies.net
    2. BigMomma
    3. Hello Everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that on the evening of Saturday, November 16th a shell user of our hosting service, gained administrative privileges and intentionally destroyed all of their data as well as the backup data on our server. To say the least, everything was lost. Any emails sent to us over the last 4 days, were also lost, and I do apologize. The fact that someone would intentionally do such a thing is both sad and pointless. As for the backup, we tried hard to have our data reinstated but it was too far corrupted. I'm sure that many of you have been to the site, only to find that it was no longer there. But as of last night, we are up and running again, and quite a bit of our information has been restored, though we still have quite a way to go. Please be patient, and don't give up on us.......we are still here working to provide you with all of the free genealogy data we can possibly find! :o) Lots of lovins, huggins and good old corn squeezins! 2. Evelyn, if this was a recent inquiry about Andrew SMITH, it would not have been mine as I just returned after spending several weeks with family in Texas. One of my aunts [Mamie Elizabeth SMITH, m. (brother of my mother) Milton Henry PERRY, b. Baxter County, AR] descends from their son, Gatewood Pennington SMITH. Her sister Flossie married a first cousin [HOOD] of my father -- then, our family has a few more connections to their ALLREDs. I knew this family lived in Boone, Marion, Carroll and Madison Counties -- and now, thanks to you, I can add Newton County. Thank you for posting the 1900 census information on the SMITHs to the List. 1. [ARNEWTON] Marriage Lookup request - William DAWSON
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: DAWSON, JOHNSON Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xV.2ADE/555 Message Board Post: Hi, I'm trying to determine whether the William A. DAWSON found in the 1930 census for Big Creek twp., Newton Co. could possibly be my great-uncle William Spencer DAWSON. The census lists William A. DAWSON age 24, wife Verna L. age 19 and daughter Jewel G. age 1 and 0/12. (My great-uncle had a daughter named Jewell Grace who was born Dec 28, 1927 in Fort Smith, Arkansas - which would make her 2 years and 3 months old at the time). The census says they were married at ages 23 and 17, which puts the marriage sometime in 1928-1929. I'd really appreciate if someone could locate the marriage for me. My great-uncle Spencer's daughter Jewell was the second child of his first wife Pearl (maiden name unknown). Pearl filed for divorce just about the time she became pregnant, and the divorce was finalized when Jewell was eight months old, in August of 1928. My father and his brother had no knowledge of this cousin until I found the court records, so I'm trying to find out what happened to her. Jewel's older sister Billie June DAWSON was born in 1924-1925 (not sure where), married an R.A. JOHNSON and settled in Los Angeles, California. My uncle saw Billie some 20 years ago, but I have been unable to locate her and do not know whether she is still living. I do not know what happened to her mother Pearl, either. Please post any replies to the message board, as I am not on the mailing list. Thank you very much! Chandra Dawson Martin
