Many times children's last names were listed under a stepfather's last name or a relatives name. That is why you have to search for collateral families.....not just the surname you are looking for. Most of the 1890 census burned at the Archives in 1926. The 1930 census is now available. The 1940 census will not be available until 72 years after, which is 2012.

1. [ARNEWTON] Birth Date Calculator
2. Found this interesting calculator for genealogy purposes: Birth Date Calculator http://www.longislandgenealogy.com/birth.html ========== Birth Date Calculator This calculator is a useful tool for genealogists. It is designed to calculate the birth date when the age at death and the date of death are the only facts known. As we all know this is often the only information recorded on older headstones. Sometimes all that is listed on tombstone is, ie: John Jones, died 1903 age 73 years, 10 months and 20 days

From what I understand, all of those Dunns moved there from Al after 1870. The patriarch in Macedonia Cemetery is a John N. Dunn (born 1822). This folks were Yanks from AL. William was probably named after his grandfather from Blont County, AL. He ran a trading post. James A (Squire Dunn) was also one of William's brothers. He was in the war and was born around 1844 or 46. I have seen both written. He died in 1923. I have John N.'s date of death some place.

1. [ARNEWTON] BEWARE
2. windi spears
3. for years i have researched our spears family line. in 1998 our cousin hollie and i meet via the internet carrie vance and another cousin in tulsa oklahoma. they were researching the reynolds line at this time and had no idea that they were tied into the spears. so being nice hollie and i gave them all the work that we had accumulated and got them straightened out on their reynolds ancestor which they didnt even have correctly at that time. since then our work along with other contributions of the family has been pasted on the internet along with other undocumented work, which now has made a jumbled mess of the spears family. it took me almost a year to get carrie vance to remove living family members from the internet, which i was terribly concerned over identity theft. many of her notes were my personal notes on my family. others have had the same problem. since all of this took place i have no longer been so willing to share what i have, and this saddens me, although i! continue to work on our spears family line with documentation. i am sorry if i have offended others but i do not appreciate what has transpired with carrie vance today i was looking at her 1900 census of Newton Co Arkansas that she has posted, where she has added her own notes to the side which I have found mistakes, along with the 1910 census. I let her know that my Great Grandfather was never referred to as Billy Spears; his name being William Riley Spears, and the following is the response that I recieved from her. Over the last two years I have recieved many "nasty" emails from her and it has me greatly disturbed. I am sorry to include the family in this but feel that you should know what type of person you are dealing with when you have contact with Carrie Vance. Also beware that most of her work is that of others and there are many mistakes in it, due to no true documentation on her behalf. In my files on my computer it states to whom donated information on that line of the family. I give credit to your work, just not to mine. ----- Original Message ----- From: CuznCarri@aol.com To: wspears@eritter.net Sent: Sunday, January 26, 2003 7:11 PM Subject: Back Off Listen you pill of crap....I have done nothing to you. 1. [ARNEWTON] Harvey CASEY (Caycey)and Sarah Isabelle MARTIN
2. Someone wanted to know about Harvey Casey (Caycey) You asked......... "Does anyone have any information on Harvey CASEY and Sarah Isabelle "Belle" MARTIN? This Casey family lived in Newton County from 1900 thru at least 1930. Harvey and Sarah "Belle" married on Oct. 21, 1877 in Jasper Co. IL . Sarah "Belle" was born in Indiana between 1860-1861. Her mother was Eliza Jane Unknown. I have no idea who Belle's father is. Mother Eliza Jane "?" Martin remarried to a James S. Carpenter on Oct. 19, 1869; also in Jasper Co, IL. Harvey Casey was born abt 1855 in Indiana to Thomas A CASEY and Malinda FERGUSON. In 1880, "Belle" is listed with husband Harvy Casey in Willow Hill, Jasper Co, IL. In 1900, they are found in Newton Co AR. Belle must have died between 1900-1910, because on the 1910 census for Newton CO AR Harvy Casey is listed with another wife (marriage number 3 for him). I would like to find out where Sarah "Belle" Martin Casey (died between 1900-1910) and Harvey (died after 1930) are buried, etc. I know they should be buried in Newton County somewhere. Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated ! ! Thanks in advance. Susan ======== Harvey Casey (Caycey in Index) is on the 1900 Newton County, Arkansas Census in Jackson Township, Visit 39-41 with children: Laura age 22; Violet age 16; May age 11; Walter age 8 and Mary age 1. All the children are shown being born in Missouri except Mary who was born in Arkansas. Harvey was born in Kentucky. Sarah Isabelle"Belle" was born in 1864 in Missouri. I do not find a tombstone record for Harvey or Sarah Isabelle Casey in the Newton County, Arkansas cemetery records. Harvey A.W. Casey, age 52, of Jasper married Mrs. Cora Gay, age 26 of Jasper on 14 Oct 1909 (Marriage Book H, page 562). Married by T. G. Henderson. James Brasel was security.
