On a recent month-long sojourn through southern England,I found several books which concern ARMSTRONGs.The first that I will report on is a booklet of copies of paintings of John Armstrong.These paintings were exhibited in an exhibition organized by the Royal Academy in England. John was the 3rd son of the Rev.Wm.Alexander ARMSTRONG.John was born on Nov.14th,1893,in Hastings,Sussex.The family then moved to West Dean near Goodwood. When the First World War broke out,John enlisted early and became an officer in the Royal Field Academy. Anyone interested in more about this John Armstrong or is related to him,please contact me.
