    1. [ARMSTRONG-L] Re: ARMSTRONG-D Digest V02 #306
    2. Dear Armstrong Cousins, I've just run across yet another Armstrong branch which may be in my family. (I already have at least three others, one being my maternal grandparents, James (Jr.) & Allie (Armstrong) Gregory, and another (but same line of Gregorys, at least)are James (Sr.) & Mary (Armstrong) Gregory. (This couple are the parents of my maternal g'parents (above). The new ones I've run across are John GREGORY, b 20 Aug 1620, Wantage, Berkshire, bpt 20 August 1620 @ Wantage Parish Church, Berkshire; d bef 1670, bur. bef 1670. Marr., on 27 Aug 1646, @ Wantage Parish Church, Berkshire, to Elizabeth ARMSTRONG, bpt. 20 Aug 1631 @ Wantage Parish Church, Berkshire; d 10 July 1672, Wantage, Berkshire, bur July 1672, Wantage Parish Church, Berkshire. Before someone yells "what Berkshire", let me tell you: in my world atlas, I find the following Berkshires: MA, NY, VT, Berkshire Co., MA, and the Berkshire Hills in MA. But, given the birth dates of this couple, I think this particular Berkshire must be in England or Scotland. (I don't think there were any Armstrongs or Gregorys on the Mayflower!) Anyone have any ideas about how I can go about finding more about this couple???! Thanks for any hints, clues, what-have-you! Barbara in MO (but originally from NYC)
