Dear Cousins, It has been a busy spring and summer for me working at the fly fishing store and doing a little guiding of fly fishermen here and there. So, forgive me if I have been mostly lurking. But I read the postings every day for the most part so I have been keeping up with all of you. My research took a turn earlier this year when I met another Armstrong who lives in the area named Pete. His daughter and mine take dance lessons at the same dance school. We have determined we are not related, but to me he looks just like a few of my blood relations. We have had a bunch of fun talking about things Armstrong and reviewing family traits. Every time we meet, we greet each other by saying "hello cousin!" with a big smile. We are hoping to go to a Packers game or something together one of these days. I gave Pete my copy of Steel Bonnets to read. Have not seen him in last few weeks due to summer break at the dance school but will see him in September again I would imagine. Lucky for us, the school is held at a local dance hall that is also has a restaurant and tavern. So, when our whistles get dry from talking about Armstrong stuff too much, then we are able to quench our thirst! Imagine that! :-) Working on a new posting of the ancestors for you all soon. John T.
