Hi All It's been interesting to see some familiar names on recent messages, obviously I'm not the only one still "listening in". I'm still working on my various ARMSTRONG families in Northumberland - but with so little interest in UK ARMSTRONGs on the list there seems little point in posting much on that particular subject. I keep an eye open for fellow UK ARMSTRONG hunters though. The 1901 census site has finally gone live and I've been spending some time playing with that - although by the time it had, I'd already got the whole of the 1901 census for my home village by other means, and knew where all my ARMSTRONGs were. I wish there was some distinction made in subject headings for UK interests - especially on those irritating "Message Board" enquiries - then I wouldn't need to waste my time opening them at all. We are still managing to feed our travel addiction - we were in Athens in January, Barcelona in May and have just returned from a holiday in Turkey. We were based in the village of Cirali on Olimpos beach, it's about 1 hour's drive west of Antalya, at one end of the 3km long beach is the ancient city of Olimpos, and at the other is the start of the climb up to the Chimaera - where the flames leap out of the rocks. The Turkish photos (including Olimpos, Chimaera, Myra Rock Tombs, Aspendos Theatre, Ancient Perge etc) will be on the website eventually. In the UK we've had a few weekends away in Bath, Shrewsbury and Bury St. Edmunds. To see my family history, and the various travel photos visit our website at www.dominouk.clara.net Anyway, a roll call would seem a good idea, it would be nice to meet all the Long-Lasting (I'm not saying "old" ARMSTRONG researchers again. All the best Kathy
