I have found a John Armstrong born c1778 and died on 3-30-1847 in Richmond, Virginia. I am going to post this message exactly as I found it in the Library. I am interested in Lucy W. Hanks. Va; PN 1832 South Farnham Parish Essex Co, Va; dd 3/30/1847 ae 70 years & 7 months, Richmond Co, Va., leaving ch: Purkins, John P, Lucy w Hanks, Joseph H; QLF 1921 from desc Mrs. Arthur Mortimer, Virden IL. 75..............She was from Macoupin Cty. Illinois which is S. of Sangamon Cty. Springfield, Illinois ( Abraham Lincoln home) 929.3755 Wardell For some reason I think his father John was born in Ireland c1727. I have a note which says "will dated 9-08-1806 Orange Cty. N.C. ex wife Anne. Can someone tell me if this Lucy Hanks is the one connected to the Abraham Lincoln and what happened to the! se children?
