The path of my line seems to have been Scotland to England to Virginia to Kentucky to Ohio. I've personally been able to verify only the part starting with No. 8 Roland Armstrong b. 1777 VA. The earlier part comes from a genealogy written in the 1800's in MO that was apparently based on info. handed down in the family. I'd especially like to learn more about this line of Armstrongs in Fauquier and Culpeper Cos. VA and thereabouts. My line . . . 1. Fred ARMSTRONG, no. 6 above, was my grandfather. He moved from Adams Co. OH to Portsmouth Scioto Co. OH around 1900, where he lived for the rest of his life. He and Nell had 9 children, 6 of whom lived to adulthood. Fred and all 6 children died of various kinds of cancer - prostate, liver, stomach, breast, and lung. Some were smokers; some were not.
