    3. Hi Louise and Clemi, Speaking of google searches (www.google.com), I have had good luck doing genealogical research using the google search engine. If you type in the name you're searching in parenthesis ("Archibald Armstrong") you'll get a lot of hits. If you can be a little more specific in your search ("Archibald Armstrong & Ballymena") you will get fewer but more pertinent hits. Perhaps everyone knows about using a search engine to research an ancestor's name, but it is fairly new to me and I just stumbled on it one day when I was playing. (You can even look up your own name and see if you are famous or infamous!) As in all research, it helps a great deal if you are searching for an "odd" name...and sometimes you will get so many hits on a name that it is a bit tedious to go through all the pages of possibilities, but you can go through faster if you look at the title...you can see if the hit is genealogical in nature that way without having to read the whole description. Of course it's free! Sometimes, however, a hit on a name will lead you to a commercial site and then you need to decide if you want to procede from there.
