Hi listers Wasn't the first cyber party for Valentine's Day?? Maybe I am just getting forgetful.! Well, I am not as forgetful as I thought! In my saved messages I find one from December 11 2000. Dear Cousins, Somebody has mentioned the virtual party we had on the Armstrong list, and I thought I would send some info. The first party we had was held on Valentine's Day, 1999, so it has been almost two years since the original foolish fun. We had a lot of team spirit and lots of listers who wanted to contribute to the party. We even had volunteers to decorate, and volunteers to clean up after the party. As I remember, (well, as much as I can remember after all we ate and drank) the party ended with Fount rolling around on the floor. It was a party! I still have a list of the "contributions" to the celebration from list members and, looking at it, realize that many of those folks have been silent for some time. Are they still with us, or have they unsubbed? Su Wilson will bring Jack Daniel's fudge, a 7 layer salad, her dessert called "stuff" and will play the piano and guitar. Bill A. will bring a quart of "pisco" and a quart of brandy and soda. Linda will wear her Texas tee shirt and bring potato salad and pinto beans seasoned with bacon. Alma favors comfy sweats and will bring yeast rolls and no-bake cookies, plus cornbread. Toni Perry will bring chicken enchiladas with fresh avocado slices and cilantro. Herma will bring Buffalo wings and roast beef on Kimmelweck rolls and beer, maybe pierogies, too. Vicki Showers will bring steaks, Iowa pork chops and beer. Mickey R. will bring seafood (shrimp and grouper) and key lime pies. Alan Russell will bring salad from his gourmet cookbook. Aunt Dorfy will bring Polish sausage, sweet and sour cabbage, homemade noodles and mashed potatoes. Cathy Smith will bring Finger Lakes wine and cheese Anna Claxton will bring Minnesota cream of wild rice soup, walleye, and Scandinavian cookies and lefse. Sue Lindner will bring barbecue and buns Pat Tatom will bring southern pecan pies and homemade ice cream George Locke wil bring single malt whiskey John D. A. will bring Alaska king crab and oatmeal stout Judy Wright will bring Pacific Northwest salmon, both fresh and smoked. John A., of Sydney, will bring vegemite and Foster's Scott Fisher will bring butterscotch pie Cathy will bring Tullamook Cheddar cheese Carol Davis will bring crawfish Cousin Marilyn will bring lobsters and drawn butter and maple sugar candy Brenda will bring Pepto Bismol, GasX and Mylanta Cathy Smith will bring Maalox and Tums Jacqui Marcella will bring teriyaki and rice Carol Davis will also bring mint juleps , plus crab and shrimp dip and chips. Susan McRoberts will bring Cincinatti chili. Marilyn Jean Mix will bring cantaloupe and watermelon. John D.
