    3. Hello family and friends. I got the following message and I too did find this virus on my computer after following her simple instructions. I did add one more step and that was I emptied my recycle bin after deleting it! Please check out your computer. Kathleen and Larry Hello everyone, Sorry to send this to you but I did find one on my computer and I didn't want to take the chance that it got passed on to you. I followed the following directions and it is gone now. Jeannie Barker xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Unfortunately a virus may have been passed on to my computer by a contact. My address book may be in turn infected. Since you are in my address book, there is a good chance you may find it in your computer also. The virus is called jdbgmgr.exe and is not detected by Norton or McAfee anti-virus systems. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by the address book, whether or not you sent e-mails to your contacts. Thankfully it is easy to eradicate. Here's how to check for the virus and how to get rid of it. YOU MUST DO THIS: 1. Go to start, find or search option 2. In the filefolders option, type the name jdbgmgr.exe 3. Be sure you search your C:drive and all subfolders and any other drives you may have. 4. Click "find now" 5. The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmr.exe DO NOT OPEN IT 6. Go to edit (on menu bar), choose "select all" to highlight the file without opening it 7. Now go to file (on menu bar) and select Delete; it will then go into the recycle bin. IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK,SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT. To do this: a) open a new email message b) click the icon of the address book next to the "To" c) highlight every name and add to the "BCC" d) copy this message ... enter subject..paste to email...send "Neither you nor the world knows what you can do until you have tried." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson "The soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears."
