Hi All I just wanted to share with someone my happy news! I just had a big breakthrough with my Armstrongs! I was getting NOWHERE with them - I knew back to my great great grandparents - knew their names - didn't even know her maiden name - no dates - very few of their children and no dates or spouses for them. Then out of the blue I got a copy of a list sent by my grandmother years ago to her second husband's children - mixed in with pictures of their family - the list contained all the births, marriages, and death dates for my Great great grandparents and all their children! hip hip hurray! A breakthru on my Armstrongs!! Now maybe I can actually start getting somewhere with this family! Thanks for letting me share! ....Pam Researching: Vannoy*Merrells*Edwards*Davis*Briggs & Armstrong and on husband's side: Tharp*Dininger*Fernsler*&Walborn >From: ARMSTRONG-D-request@rootsweb.com >Reply-To: ARMSTRONG-L@rootsweb.com >To: ARMSTRONG-D@rootsweb.com >Subject: ARMSTRONG-D Digest V03 #7 >Date: Wed, 8 Jan 2003 06:00:02 -0700 > ><< message2.txt >> ><< message4.txt >> ><< message6.txt >> _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail

Congratulations, Pam! I think all of us can relive your excitement from our own family research experiences. After breaking through a THICK brick wall to identify my mother's birth parents, Fred and Emma ARMSTRONG, of Phoenix, AZ, I joined this Armstrong List and was infinitely rewarded when Bill ARMSTRONG of Kingman, AZ, posted his ARMSTRONG minidescendency chart. By then, I had identified enough ancestor names to recognize my relatives among Bill's posted ARMSTRONG names, so I contacted him. Bill and I are third cousins, once removed, as it turns out; and my husband and I were able to meet Bill for breakfast in Kingman a year-and-a-half ago. Bill has generously shared his research on my ARMSTRONGs ancestors with me, a generosity, I note from his postings to the List, that he extends to others as well. It's a great family! Pam, continue to enjoy the glow of your connect with your past! Sue Mullins Northridge CA Susiesearcher@worldnet.att.net ARMSTRONG, SAUP, BOSE, WEHMEYER, HOLLMANN, ARTER, EVERTS, HARRELL P.S. Now, if I can just locate a missing first cousin in Phoenix, another of Fred and Emma's granddaughters...! ----- Original Message ----- From: "P Tharp" <nm_roadrunner@hotmail.com> To: <ARMSTRONG-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 08, 2003 9:34 PM Subject: [ARMSTRONG-L] Breakthrough with my Armstrongs! > Hi All > > I just wanted to share with someone my happy news! > > I just had a big breakthrough with my Armstrongs! > > I was getting NOWHERE with them -
