Okay, okay. I've been brow beaten into giving up my Grandma Fahlstrom's recipe BEFORE you actually come for the c-party. Blame it on Toni... :-) These cookies are somewhat like those little white pecan cookies that seem to pop up out of nowhere around Xmas time. I LOVE 'em; used to sneak into Gramma's kitchen and steal them out of the stoneware cookie jar. Grandma Fahlstrom's Divinity Cookies Cream together: 1 lb. powdered sugar (3 1/1 c sifted) 1 2/3 c. shortening Add: 2 2/3 c. pastery flour 4/5 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans 4 teasp. vanilla a pinch of salt Form two long rolls. Wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight. Slice & bake 350 F for 8 min. DO NOT BROWN! Cool on racks, preferably when no one else is around; then scarf 'em up BEFORE 'anyone else' returns. :-D That's it.
