Nebraska was a HUGE territory before the Civil War and the 1862 Homestead Act so when some Armstrong moved to Nebraska, their homestead may have ended up in South Dakota - you never know! My Armstrong Mom was from Oklahoma, not Nebraska. We just moved here because my Dad got a job teaching at the local college after he retired from the Air Force.
