My grandmother's sister had an aunt by marriage. Her uncle died. The aunt by marriage remarried. My grandmother's sister married one of the sons of her aunt by marriage and the new husband. So my great aunt's mother in law was also her aunt. This from red neck country, Tennessee. I always wondered why there were jokes about cousins marrying in the South. After starting genealogy I know why but it does not only pertain to the South, just look at England's royal family. Julia (Wright) Molitz Nice and warm in California
It isn't so unlike that in Tasmania Julia. There are a lot of intermarried families.
