I had only known your grandfather as Lafayette...now I find out that his first name was John and that he is the third to boot. Even though it was his grandfather Thomas H's brother who was the second. What is it with these guys can't they go by their first names. My Grandfather was William Chester and he married Ethel Pearl Crawford (who was supposedly born in South Dakota in 1899). The had 12 or 13 (I've heard varying stories) children only 10 lived to adulthood, my mother was the second oldest and they were all born in Hibbing, Minn. Grandpa had gone there looking for work in the open pit mines as a steamshovel operator. Yes, I look forward to hearing all about as much as possible. I have to run for now, but email me soon.
