Gosh! Marilyn and everyone. Sorry to be a little late getting here folks, have been to a St Patricks Day event in Westbury. It is a little early settler town not far from Launceston, which is over a 100km from where we live in Burnie. Rob was playing with the Burnie Pipe Band along with the RSL Pipe Band. Great Day. Met up with my eldest neice in her Forties, (sure makes me feel old) I hope you folks got the barbie going and made yourself at home. I have made some Mulled Claret to help keep you warm. We still have hot weather here but in the UK and USA etc, you are still shivering with the cold. So the wine will warm your stomachs, tea and coffee for anyone who are tea totallers. Help yourself, there is an urn in the corner, already set up, with other titbits. Grab some buckets and help yourselves to some plums. We still have quite a few left. We neglect the orchard, but the fruit comes up year after year. Finished the greengage tree though. Don't give those ones away, they are our favourite plums. There are some neglected Nectarines as well and some Apple trees. Help yourselves to them all. If you are any good with pruning, I could do with one or two trees pruned if you are so inclined, while we are waiting for the others. Excuse my untidy Laneway. I know it needs attention, but I am painting my laundry and hobby room at the moment. Have been waiting for this rooms to be lined for 18 years, so everything waits while I finish painting. Besides it is too hot for gardening, Autumn will be soon enough. Anyway, kick off your shoes and make yourselves at home. We have put Haybales in the barn and decorated it to get the atmosphere going for the dancing and bands etc. Penny the puss and Ruffles the dog are both waiting for you all to bring some company with you. Dogs and other pets allowed. They are family afterall. Not sure about the cricket pitch. May be too dark by the time you all get here. Not easy to be in the party mood, when so many of you have family headed for the gulf or already there, but I know they wouldn't want you too worry, they chose their careers and are happy in whatever force they are in. We can only hope all is well in the end. Take your mind off things and come and join in some merriment. Edie and Rob ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marilyn R.
