Armstrong's father, Isaac U. (Ussery) Armstrong was a son of Richard and Martha "Patsy" Huntley Armstrong and a grandson of my Isaac and Elizabeth Ussery Armstrong. I was searching for information on a Richard & Patsy's son, Thomas H. Armstrong and his family in the 1860 Census of Fulton Co., Eagle P.O., AR. This is what I found: 1860 Census, Fulton Co., AR - P.O. Eagle, p. 13 Dan Griffith 29 male farmer TN Jane 27 female AL Riley 5 male AR William 4 male AR Margaret 1 female AR Dan Griffith 68 male SC Richard L. Armstrong 19 male farm laborer MO (Jane Griffith was a daughter of Thomas & Patsy and your Richard L. was living in their hiousehold.) 1860 Fulton Co., AR - P.O. Eagle, p. 13 (2 houses away from Dan and Jane Griffith and next to Issac Ritchie) James Armstrong 24 male farmer 1600 900 AL Martha 27 female VA Martha 3 female TN Mary 1 female AR John Neeley 20 male farm laborer TN 1860 Census AR Fulton Co, Pleasant Ridge TWP, Eagle P.O. Isaac Richey 22 M Farmer 200 250 TN Elviry Richey 22 F AL Calvin Richey 2 M AR 1860 Fulton Co., AR - P.O. Eagle, p. 14 (next page from Daniel & Jane Armstrong Griffith, James L. Armstrong and Isaac and Elvira Armstrong Ritchie) Isaac U. Armstrong 51 male farmer 7000 1135 NC Susan 36 female Jeptha 11 male MO Adaline 11 female MO Susan 9 male MO Elizabeth 7 female MO Isaac 2 male MO 1860 Census, Fulton Co., AR - P. O. Eagle, p. 18 T. H. Armstrong 52 male farmer 500 500 NC Malene 49 female SC Izabela 18 female domestic AL Richard 16 male farm laborer AL Andrew 15 male farm laborer AL Perlina 13 female AR Thomas 10 male AR John 4 male AR I can't believe that it was just a coincidence that your Isaac moved his family so close to Thomas and his children or that Richard L. would have been living with Jane Armstrong Griffith's family. Isaac may have been drawn to join his siblings in AR by the death of their father, Richard Armstrong, in mid 1858.
