The email address I have for Ron Barnett is: [email protected] I should be interested in the information that you have, David. Incidentally, a couple of years ago there was some correspondence in the Armstrong lists - it should still be there - on the Sir Thomas Armstrong who was executed in 1687. I put up a rather gothic acount of his execution at Tyburn Place drawn froma Victorian book of horrors. He was hung, drawn and quartered. Not all that long afterwards he was pardoned, not that it did him much good, and his chief accuser expelled from Parliament. This being pardon allowed his widow and daughter to reclaim considerable property, cash and annuities that had been confiscated by the State upon his being convicted for treason - the cause of this being his part in the Rye House Plot.
