Robyn, The slinky thing is a small lizard - they zip around, but are harmless. We have dozens in our yard, and sometimes catch them sleeping in the sun, until they see us, and zip under something. We saw one walking up the glass on the porch, and it puffed out under its chin, like a balloon, and that turned red. We guess he was trying to attract a mate. Another topic for the list...how did you attract your significant other. Easy, now. Mary in sunny and cool GA.
Hey, if you had any sense you wouldn't be asking Rob THAT one. "The slinky thing is a small lizard " Hi Mary :) I'm SO far behind with email it's not funny, so I DO apologise for not answering this sooner!!! I don't think it IS a lizard actually, it's not big enough. It looks more like a giant ant. It was a while ago now but if I had to guess, I'd say it was about 1/2-3/4" long. No tail either, which is why I don't think it was a lizard. Now if you want to see a really cute lizard, go search for a drop-tail in Australia. You can't pick them up by the tail, they drop off!! lol Funny little things they are!! :D Take care, Rob.
