Oh, my, you ARE behind the times. People came here by boat, Polynesians, Japanese, Celts, Phoenicians,--some of this, some of that. Some stayed. Some went home. The Land Bridge idea is pretty much passe although SOME used it.They now think Kennewick man was Japanese. First known settlement so far was in Chile. But they are discovering more and more artifacts making them rethink our history many times over. I LOVE that magazine. My kids fought over it so much I had to send two ot them subscriptions.
