He was a resident of Hesperia for 12 years. Robert was born Nov. 21, 1929, in Madison, Wis. and lived in California for 40 years. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, where he served for 20 years as a radioman senior chief. Robert was also retired from L.A. County as electronics technician for 10 years. He was then self-employed as an electronics technician another 10 years and authored two books on electronics and communications. Robert was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather! Robert was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Wayne Armstrong and brother, Douglas Armstrong. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Theresa Constance Armstrong of Hesperia; son, Robert Edward Armstrong Jr. and daughter-in-law, Cinzia, of Tampa, Fla.; son, Thomas Richard Armstrong and daughter-inlaw, Kandi, of Hesperia; daughter, Diane Wozniak and her husband, Ron, of Indio; daughter-inlaw, Lisa Armstrong of Hesperia; grandchildren, Kelly and Jonathon Harvel of Hesperia, Corabell E. Whittington of Indio, Michael Luckett of Hesperia, Jennifer Luckett of Hesperia, Grace Bell Armstrong of Hesperia, Lorenzo Armstrong and Ilenia Armstrong, both of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Richard Armstrong and is wife, Hetty, of Spokane, Wash.; sister-in-law, Kathy Armstrong of Bedford, Texas; nephew, Rick Armstrong and his wife Kristin of Fontana and cousin, Jeanne Sigmon of El Paso, Texas. Military graveside services will be at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside. Wiefels Mortuary is handling arrangements.
