The Death Certificate of her daughter Laura states that her mother Catherine was born in Port Huron Michigan. Using the 1850 -1870 Federal Census information, I have located a James and Harriett ARMSTRONG in Port Huron that includes an enumeration for a a Catherine among their children. Does anyone have information on this ARMSTRONG family that could help me verify that I have the correct ARMSTRONG family, whose daughter Catherine married William MIDDAUGH in the early 1860's.
