(A.C.) Armstrong. He is my paternal grandmother's paternal grandfather. I know that he served with the Arkansas 9th Infantry during the Civil War. The Arkansas 9th was organized in Pine Bluff, in the southeast part of the state. He moved to McNairy County, TN, after the death of his first wife (I don't know the year). There he married my great-great-grandmother, Melinda Mitchell, on December 29, 1886. He submitted Civil War Pension Application #S3282 in McNairy County. He died in 1902.
