Dear Robyn, Outlook express is a seems to be a target of virus producers, so I use Mozilla for a browser. Then , I use gmail because my ISP cannot suddenly change my email address, and because I can go from computer to computer and never lose my addresses or my conversations. I use gmail, so I can help. When you click "reply" it brings up all the other messages. All you have to do is select and delete the text that appears in the box BEFORE you type your reply. As far as I know, I haven't been sending out messages that have other messages added... Jessica
