    3. Hi, Thanks to the generousity of Clemi Blackburn, I have finally found something concrete about my Armstrongs ancestors in the Revolutionary War. This is from one of her posts: "Adam, S44554, NY Line, Appl Apr 16, 1818 Oneida Cty., NY, in 1821 sol was in Herkimer Cty, NY aged 50 & wife was dec'd & he had 3 children, Sol. s. 27 Aug 1843 leaving children: Elizabeth wife of Moses Seger of Lewis Cty, NY; Polly wife of Graylord Griffin of Herkimer Cty, NY Archibald Armstrong of Oneida Cty, NY "Abstracts of Rev. War Pension Files" pg 74 I 'get' most of it...I'm assuming S44554 is his reference# or something similar. Appl=Applied? sol=Soldier? What does s. mean...he's not 'single' Most important to me though is understanding what the 3 different dates signify. 16 Apr 1818; 27 Aug 1843; & the year 1821. I would appreciate any help in deciphering this. Thank you----And a HUGE thanks to Clemi! Judy
