He is my Great Grandfather. I have searched records and can not find any information about his childhood. I know his father was born in NY and his mother is Mary Unkown b. Jul 1847 in England. Immigrating to the US in 1851. The 1920 census is the last one I find Mary in. William Harley had 2 brothers: Edward C. & John S (wife Adelia C. ultimately they lived in OH, no children) & a sister Elizabeth Allen. Much of the family lived in the Wyndotte/Detroit area of MI. William Harley Armstrong married Bessie Spicer (she had a twin sister Bertha) and they had 6 children: Jack S. (my grandpa-grandma Dorothy Viola McClanathan/McClanaghan), Dick, Bob, Marian, Ruth & Jean. Any information is GREATLY appreciated.
