The two key family members are Joseph Armstrong and Ann Jane Armstrong Hart Nelson. They were both children of Jane Flack and James Armstrong and were born and spent their early lives in Quebec. Ann Jane spent time in Grove City and Barnesville before coming to St. Paul. Joseph was one of the first city engineers for St. Paul. They both had large families, and I am looking for some of their descendents. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [ARMSTRONG] George Armstrong Of New Albany Indiana
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: mccd1970 Surnames: Armstrong Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.armstrong/4999/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for more information concerning George Armstrong and his Wife Pearl (Sullivan) Armstrong. Pearl Armstrong killed George for his life insurance policy of $1000. He died on December 19th 1909. I do not know his exact dob but I believe it was about 1864 that he was born and raised in Indiana. He was quite a bit older than Pearl. She was 26 when she murdered her husband and George was in his mid to late 40's. She had a niece that lived with them with the last name of Harris. It is said that Miss Harris witnessed this murder and the steps it took before George died. Pearls Parents are Mr and Mrs. James Sullivan. According to the Indianapolis Star News paper Archives, Pearl was sentenced to 2 to 22 years in a woman's prison. I would like to know how long she actually served in prison, I would also like to know when she died and how. It was said that Pearl Murdered her husband (George) not only for the money but to be with a man named David Fogle (who was apparently a married man at the time). David had a Brother named George as well and in the papers it was stated that Miss Harris (who was 16 at the time) would be with David's Brother while Pearl intentions were to be with David. I am looking for all the information I can about this couple and their family. It is believed that they are somehow connected with Katherine Elizabeth (Huber) Donahue who recently passed away on October 8th 2007. I have been told that the connection may possibly have to do with either her Great Grand Parents or Her Grandparents, But I am not certain of this. If anyone has anything on this family I would love to hear from you. My email address is Midnightmoonwolf@hughes.net (Please Make the subject line George Armstrong or Armstrong family so that I don't delete your email). I am hoping that someone has a great deal more information on this. Thanking you in advance, Christine Donahue Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: mccd1970 Surnames: Armstrong Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.armstrong/1.3.11.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I know of a George Armstrong that I am currently looking for. I am mainly concentrating on his wife. In 1910 George's wife (Pearl Sullivan Armstrong) murdered George for his life insurance. This was in indian. If this is the same George, I am looking to find out how the Murder Case ended for Pearl. We don't know if she was put to death or if she lived out her days in jail. I have news clippings from New Albany In. But I have reason to believe that this may have happened in Floyed Knobs. But I am not sure. Does any of this fit with your George Armstrong? Thanks, Christine Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [ARMSTRONG] Clinton Armstrong (1811) TN and family
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: mtnspirit Surnames: Armstrong, Goode Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.armstrong/4994/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Greetings Armstrong researchers, I am searching for Clinton ARMSTRONG, his estimated birth is 1811-1815. From clues it is probable he was born in TN, possibly NC. I would like to have info regarding his parents and siblings. Who they are? Where they originated from? etc... >From records of his wife, Clinton ARMSTRONG married Eizabeth Hopson GOODE in 1835. Elizabeth was born 1818 in Rutherford Co., NC. They are my g-g-grandparents. Clinton and Elizabeth had 10 known children: Frances, Nancy, James, Harriett, Henry, Eliza, Sarah J. Thomas A., Poland, and William. Clinton, Elizabeth and (children, all born in TN) are in the 1850 US census, in Bradley Co., TN. Clinton is not listed with the family in 1860. Elizabeth and seven of the children are in the 1860 census, same area of Bradley Co, TN. I would like to find out where Clinton was in 1860, possibly dead by then, but he would have only been about 45. Maybe off at war?? Their son Thomas ARMSTRONG is my g-grandfather. Thomas was born about 1850, because he is not listed with them in the 1850 census. If Clinton died, it was around 1857 because their last child William was born around 1857 according to 1860 census. I would like to find where Clinton and Elizabeth are buried, possibly in or near Red Clay, Bradley Co. TN. All help is greatly appreciated, since I live in OH now, it is difficult to search the local areas.
