Billikin, a spotted pony, saved four persons from severe injury last night when a street car struck the buggy in which Mrs. J. L. ARMSTRONG, 2908 North Tenth Street, owner of the pony, and three little girls were riding. All the occupants of the buggy were bruised and suffered other minor injuries. The pony, instead of running away and dragging them in the wreckage, quietly stopped and permitted the car crew to extricate the woman and girls. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ====================================================== neirbo8 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Hi The Armstrong line in this book came from Fermanagh County in N Ireland between 1839-1855. They first settled in Ohio then Illinois the branched out to other states in that area. The Moore line also came from N Ireland and was married to Armstrong. I did not copy that part of the book, but I see now I need to copy more pages for my own use....If I see a connection I will let you know. Sue In a message dated 4/16/2008 11:57:38 A.M. It is a book written by a gentlemen who researched his family in 1967. The book includes the Armstrongs who lived on Inishmore in Fermanagh County. It is: "The Ancestry and descendents of Mitchell Reed and his wife ,Sarah Foster, with notes on some related families: Shannon, Wortman, Armstrong, Moore", by Arthur Reed Armstrong , published Littleton, Colo., 1967. (Another name included is Terpening) These Armstrongs are my Armstrongs and while reading this book I found a few mistakes, and many questions as far as the "original" Armstrong information goes. I also have more info to add to this. My line IS this early Armstrong line in N Ireland. I am also in touch with 3 different descendents who are also from this original Armstrong line. If anyone out there is using this as their line and has seen my postings they would NOT realize we were connected. If this relates to you I would be very interesting is hearing from you. Names in connection to this are: Armstrong,Moore,Reed, and more....they start in N Ireland and cover Illinois, Colorado,Iowa,Ohio, and possibly other states. They also inclue NY Copeland which was NOT included in this because of errors. Sue in NY Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
