Peggy, I haven't run across that name yet. Mr. Bennett line came from Alabama....my ggf, Benjamin Franklin Bennett, was born in Alabama in 1826. According to the 1860 census for Mississippi County, Scott Township, there were several other Bennetts that I have been unable to tie to my line as yet.
