I am not sure if anyone kept a platt before the city of Etowah took over. The cemetery is being well lookekd after now. You need to contact Martha Weathers in city hall where the cemetery records are now kept. I went to school with Martha and she is a nice person, I am sure will be glad to answer your questions. I know that Shirley Heard (mainden name) did a plat of all of the names of the cemetery and if I am not mistaken, it is on line. I know they have a copy at city hall. A friend of mine was wanting to do the same thing that you are and they told her that if she knew where he was buried, or a close vicinity, they would allow her to put up a headstone. Good luck.
