I believe she was born in Memphis, moved to Miss Co. Ark in the 1860's with her family. Her husband was E P Williams, a blacksmith. Do not know her parents, but the 1850 Memphis census listed an elderly woman living with the family. There is an elderly Bunch woman who is one of the first buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis. Mariah had a sister living in Mississippi Co., married to Pete Kendall. The census said they were from Virginia, but I believe they were a part of the Williams family that came from Nashville.
