My Great-Great-Grandfather, Thomas BRONAUGH/BURNAUGH, is listed as living there on the 1890 Veterans' Census. I'm not sure if it's in TN or AR. It looks like it would be easier to reach from AR. On the map of AR I have, it shows several names either on or near Island 26--Tellier Island, Sadie Lee Ldg, Daniels Point Ldg, Fisher Ldg, and Ashport Ferry, and O'Donnell Bend. I'd really like to make contact with someone who knows the area well and could help me figure out how I might get to the island--and obtain a map of the island... I'm also really interested in life on the island in the 19th century--early 20th century. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Cindy Kennedy
