On my listing for Old North Sawba Cemetery the listing read: Bettie, Wife of John P. Smiley, aged 38 years, "Too good for earth, gold called her Home" (She and her sister drowned in a lake in front of Luke Richardson's house. He pulled them from the water. Her small baby also drowned. She left about five small children) The listing for Elmwood Cemetery read: John P. Smiley, 1862 - 1942 Hope some of this information helps.
