This is a pot luck dinner affaire. Don't thank you will find any reliteves with the name DYESS, I moved to Dyess in March 1936 and althow I have lived in TN for 53 years and have attended all the reunions and visit Dyess severial times a year I have never found the name Dyess in any records as living at Dyess. This is a goverment Colony built during the Depresion. W R DYESS was the head of the Arkansas Goverment programs and this Colony of 16,000 acres farming community was founded by W R Dyess where 510 farm homes and acommunity with 38 homes in the (Center) what we called the town. There was a hospital, administration, Community Buildings: 4 schools including the High School were built. There is no connectings of Dyess reliteves at DYESS.
