My dad told me that his dad James Luther Goodwin (he lived in White County Arkansas.) went to Mississippi County, Arkansas in the 1930s and tried to recover some of the Hector farm. The story is that he was conned by the estate layers and nothing was ever restored. My grandfather Henslee knew a old black man that he though was a slave on the Hector farm. His name was Doc Hector. Just a family story and can not confirm.
