Actually, I believe the courthouse is on the National Historic Register. Seems that I heard that somewhere. If so, they will have a lot of trouble tearing it down. The people at the museum are trying hard to get everyone to be aware of what is happening. There was to be a vote on it sometime, not sure when. Dr. Eldon Fairley was the President of the Historical Society, don't know if he is now or not. He is very active in the society but has not been well for the last few months. The museum is located in the old Patterson dry goods store. It is neat. If you go downtown now in Osceola, it is very depressing. So many of the stores are closed. Delta towns are having a hard time. My husband grew up in Osceola and it is hard for him to watch what is happening to the town. Joyce Shelton McFarland
