    2. Was not aware that the Court House had the cemetery records. Will be watching to be sure that they do. I grew up outside of Osceola and have done research there but never knew about the cemetery records being at the courthouse. Hope they are. Joyce Shelton McFarland

    3. Joyce, Does the Osceola Courthouse have marriage records . I am looking for two marriages . Minnie Yielding to James Porter about 1914 and Minnie Porter to Clyde Hill about 1930 after the census was taken. I am researching my Grandparents. Minnie Yielding and James Milford Randell Porter. Also , I have a question for Everyone, My grandparents are on the 1920 census in Mississippi. I do know my grandfather died between 1920 and 1930. But my grandmother and my dad are not on any census I have looked in all the southern states ,Arkansas ,Alabama, Mississippi . My dad was born ( I think in Osceola) May 6 , 1924 but there is nothing of him in 1930. Then my grandma appeared married to a Clyde Hill a few years later . He worked for the Edrington's at Sand Soui as a farm hand. ( he is on census record . NOT my grandma Porter or my dad Tracy Porter. and family gossip is that grandma Porter met Mr. Hill at Edrington Plantation. She was a house maid there. My question is ..........Is it possible that because my grandma did not read or write and my dad was 6 years old on the 1930 census . ..........could they just not have been counted?? This is a big brick wall for me. Any help or ideas are appreciated . Sincerely, Donna Porter - Davis
