    2. William Bishop,(my great, great, great grandfather) b.1818 Scott Co. Mo, and moved to Chickasawba Township, Mississippi Co. Ark. in 1840's. William had at least one known brother, Jackson Bishop, who was in the Osceola area in the mid-1830's. Looking for decendants of these Bishops. "William Bishop was married to Diadema Bryant and they had 2 children, Andrew Jackson Bishop, b. 1846 and a daughter, Virginia Bishop, b. abt. 1848 or 50. Virginia married a man by the name of "Carney". Looking for these decendants as well. "Andrew Jackson Bishop married Maggie (Margret) Brown, on August, 15, 1878 and their children were, William Andrew Bishop, Major Green Bishop, Lanora Lurens Bishop, and Robert Thaddeus Bishop. Andrew Bishop enumerated the 1880 US Fed. Cencus for this county and owned a blacksmith and wagon shop. He was a charter member of the Masonic Lodge No.134. I am looking for his decendants as well. "Diadema Bryant Bishop passed away and William Bishop re-married to Martha Golden, they had one son, William Oliver Bishop (my great, great grandfather). "William O. Bishop" married Belle Bonds on 17 Oct. 1878 and they had 12 children. "William Bishop and his sons helped settle the Chickasawba area. William Bishop held the office of constable of that section and was also a deputy under Sheriff Bowen. When first locating to the Chickasawba area, there were about 4 white families and approx. 100 indians. Williams son Andrew was one of the earliest photographers of the area, he also taught school for 4 years, rafted logs from Big Lake, kept a store and then opened a blacksmith and wagon shop. He owned a farm one from Blytheville. "Jackson Bishop, brother of William Bishop and my 3rd great uncle, was married to a woman named Mary. They had 4 known sons, Milton J., Abner F., Daniel R. and also Andrew J. Bishop. Jackson died when the boys were still young and Mary re-married to a man named John Peterson. I am looking for thier decendants also. I Know there are still Bishops in the area who are relatives and am interested in hearing from them. email-- [email protected]
