    3. Thanks David. This has been our brick wall on this family. Can't find any more information on William Ratton or his wife A.J. the census said William was born in KY. A.J born in TN. son George M. born AR. In the 1870 census William is married to Eliza born in KY. George is now 12 years old and there is a daughter Mary age 7. and living with them is Malinda Gofourth age 12 and Alice age 8. Eliza was 38 years old so I think the Gofourth Children were probably hers by a former marriage. Maybe some one out there are searching for them. in 1880 I could not find William or Eliza. George -Mary and a Julian Ratton age 9 were in St Francis Co. Pearl

    3. Pearl. There are many Goforth's in the Chattanooga area.They are mixed in with my family, McCallies and Martins. I can send you a link to Michael Goforth's page if you would like. He might be able to help you. It took him quiet awhile to respond to me but he did. Debibe
