Not long ago, someone asked if there was a school ever located at Wardell, near Joiner, in Mississippi County. The person that asked said that they had a picture of students made in front of the school. I finally had the opportunity to talk to the person that would know at a Shawnee School reunion that I attended today. The answer is yes, there was once a school at Wardell that burned in the forties. Could you please send us a copy of the picture that you have. My mother probably went to this school as a young girl.
