I am new to this mailing list, and I am afraid that I don't have very much to go at this point, but I thought that I would post what I do have in hopes that someone might know this family. I am looking for any information on my gggrandfather Joe Burchell. Joe Burchell was married to Prissie (I'm sure that this is a nickname) Potts Burchell. Joe and Prissie had my great grandmother Bertha Catherine Burchell in 1888. Bertha's SS application states that her father was born in Mississippi County Arkansas, but it does not list a birthplace for her mother. I have searched in Arkansas, but I cannot find any Burchell's. Would anyone happen to know any Burchells from Mississippi County Arkansas. Many thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
