My grandfather may have been there at one point . Elvin Elrod was his name married Millie LaRue. My mother Dorothy Porter past away a few years ago. I remember her talking about Jack Cash getting killed and going to school with the Cash family and How close everyone was in the community . Her siblings names were Irene, Elizabeth, James, Robert. Does anyone remember the Elrod family of Dyess colony ?
Hi Donna My husband was raised on Dyess colony. He lived two doors down from your Elrod Family. and knew them well. Our first child was born in the Dyess hospital. it is a small world!
