    3. HI, I don't recognize any of your names, but funny my grandparents Jessie Franks, b. abt 1894 and Ida Heath Franks were both from Phil Campbell Al and ended up moving to Blytheville as near as I can tell in the 1930's. Wonder if they knew each other or related? I have a correction and additions for them. they have listed Art Burfield, this is James Arthur Burfield (he went by Arthur) his stone is a handmade stone and the etching has worn, there are no dates and never have been to my recollection. These are his dates if anyone is interested: James Arthur Burfield b. 12-22-1885 Phil Campbell Franklin Co. AL. d. ? Osceola, MS. Co. ARK. his wife listed also was Eattie Mae Woodward Burfield b. 12-1-1890 d. 12-1983 Osceola, MS. Co. ARK. also buried there but the homemade slab has disappearred is James Arthur Burfields mother. She is buired only paces away from her son and dau. in law. She is Roney Ann Gist Burfield born 3-1863 in AL. probably (Franklin Co.) and died 3-7-1956 in dyess, MS. Co.ARK. her husband - not buried there as far as I know is John Franklin Burfield b. 1856 GA. died in Red Bay AL. Hope this helps someone. These slabs ! > were just etched by hand. Grandma Roney's was done sometime after her deat, had become embedded in the ground, when I pulled it out, we placed it over the indent in the ground - but when I returned several months later it was missing - a check with the Mayor and then the caretaker led nowhere. > > > ==== ARMISSIS Mailing List ==== > If you wish to unsubscribe from the Mississippi Co., AR mailing list, use ARMISSIS-l-request@rootsweb.com or ARMISSIS-d-request@rootsweb.com if you are on the Digest list. > > > > > -- > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > Version: 7.0.300 / Virus Database: 265.8.5 - Release Date: 2/3/05 > > -- No virus found in this outgoing message. 3. I will ask my parents if they recall any of the Franks family. They retired back to Osceola in the very late 1980s and are now her in TN. with us for the last 5 years. My maiden name is Sparks. My dad's step father was a Hughes and my mother was a Fortner. Her mother a Dugger/Duggar. My grandmother's brothers lived in the area also, they were Pace's. I know my dad's family moved there (Osceola, Keiser, Tulot area) in the early 1940s and my mom's family in the late 1930s - but they did move back to the Phil Campbell area for a short while before returning. It would be interesting to know if they knew each other. I wonder always about the normal "going ons" of the every day life of my family.
