Hello, I need help with my brick wall WILLIAM ALLEN b 1853/55 TN wife Melissa, children Della, Ealy, Ira, Ida, Harry "Wofford". Where and How does anyone get Mississippi Co Land sales in the late 1950's or early 1960's? I believe William Allen passed away after the 1910 census (169-177) In Neel Township, Ms. Co., AR. The family sold the property about 1961. Not positive on the date. Any one have a clue as to how I can get the records? Thanks, Betty

I am looking for a Mrs. D ABBOTT who lived n Blytheville, Mississippi County, Arkansas in 1953. Her maiden name is GREEN and she was born in Kentucky. The name and address above appear in her brother Thomas L. Green's obituary in 1953 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. Thomas had two sisters and no record of a marriage to a D. Abbott, except for this notation. One sister was GEMIMA ELIZABETH GREEN b. ca 1872 in Kentucky; m. SAMUEL ARTES (ARTIS) and was living in West VA in 1910. The other was SAMANTHA GREEN, b. ca 1876 in Kentucky; m. 1st NEIL WEBB; m. 2nd LEE NICKELL If you have a clue as who this individual is, or where I can look to find a listing of Blytheville residents in 1953, I would be grateful.
I will ask my parents if they recall any of the Franks family. They retired back to Osceola in the very late 1980s and are now her in TN. with us for the last 5 years. My maiden name is Sparks. My dad's step father was a Hughes and my mother was a Fortner. Her mother a Dugger/Duggar. My grandmother's brothers lived in the area also, they were Pace's. I know my dad's family moved there (Osceola, Keiser, Tulot area) in the early 1940s and my mom's family in the late 1930s - but they did move back to the Phil Campbell area for a short while before returning. It would be interesting to know if they knew each other. I wonder always about the normal "going ons" of the every day life of my family.
