His family used to live at Wardell. I don't recall a school at Wardell. If there was one, my father must have attended it. he was born in 1907 and lived only about two miles from it. I don't remember him ever talking about it. I remember attending the Wardell Baptist Church occasionally when I was growing up. Love, David

My husband went to school and graduated with J. T. Driver, the youngest of the three. My husband thinks that Edward's widow is still living in Osceola. Course right this minute, he cannot remember her name. Grin. Shows you how young my husband is. There were other Driver families in Osceola and my husband thinks they were all related. I can put you in touch with a member of the other Driver family if you would like. Also, I will check the phone book when we are in Osceola and see if I can find Edward's widow's name. Hope this helps.

    1. [ARMISSIS] Driver Family
    2. I am searching for the family of Ely Edward Driver ll. My sister was Alfredia Davis Driver who passed away last June. I am trying to do the Driver family tree for my niece Naomi Driver Skaggs. I have finished Alfredia Davis Driver side of the family but the only thing Naomi knows is that her Grandmother,s name was Jessie Driver. She believes her Grandfather was Ely Edward Driver . Naomi and I both live in Indiana so we havent had much luck in researching. Anything you can give us would be appreciated. I would like to make a scrap book for Naomi,s children with family information. I have pictures of Ely Edward l family but none of Ely Edward ll family. I only get to Osceola once a year. I wanted to go the cemetery when I was there last October to see if I could find headstones for the Driver family. As luck would have it , it rained the one day we were there. Thank you very much for replying. Tommie Ann Davis Peeler

    1. [ARMISSIS] Year Book Photos
    2. Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone would have year books from the years of 1947-1951 that might have a photo of Joyce Cavashere from Blytheville, Arkansas that would be willing to scan them and send them to me privately. I am interested in any Cavasheres or Brooks that might be in year books. Joyce Clarence Philip Ashley in 1956 in Blytheville. Other Cavasheres that someone might remember is Harl Cavashere, Bill Cavashere, Fannie, Ada, and Merle, my mother. That was many years ago so this may not be remembered. The Brooks family was that of Walter and Blanch Brooks. Their children included Travis, Mary , who was physically handicapped and quite short and Jewel and Opal. I have no idea what Jewel and Opal's married names are now. I believe also that Jewel and Opal moved to Memphis Tennessee. My grandmother and grandfather were John Lee and Linnie Cavashere. Linnie worked in the Blytheville Laundry for many years. Thanks for reading this long email.

    3. Posted on: Mississippi Co. Ar Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ar/Mississippi/10757 Surname: VERNOR, WHITEHEAD, MORGAN ------------------------- Roy, I do not have a lot of names for either my Vernor or Whitehead line. I only have a very little information on my ggrandmother Effie Vernor. I have been told, however, that some of the older generations in my family referred to her family as the Vernons instead of Vernors. I have documents that all say Vernor, and descendents of Effie's brother all spell currently spell the name Vernor. It is possible that at one point it was changed from Vernon to Vernor, although I see no reason for that happening. I don't know if our two lines are connected, but if I find any link to a Francis Whitehead or Ethel Vernon/Vernor I will let you know.

    1. [ARMISSIS] Vernor, Whitehead reunion in 1950's

    3. Posted on: Mississippi Co. Ar Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Ar/Mississippi/10752 Surname: VERNOR, WHITEHEAD, MORGAN ------------------------- I am related to Effie Vernor whose parents (unknown) were supposedly from Mississippi County, AR. Effie had a brother named Zonos or Zenas Vernor who was born in 1906 in AR. Effie was born in the early 1890's - not sure where. Effie married Albert Morgan and in 1916 had my grandmother, Bessie Morgan. Effie went to her mother's house in Manilla, AR to give birth. I can not find any mention of Vernors in Manilla or anywhere else in Mississippi county around 1916. In the 1950's a reunion was held in Manilla for the Vernor or possibly the Whitehead family. Somehow the Vernors and Whiteheads are related, although no one seems to know the exact connection. Can anyone help me? Or if anyone knows anything about this reunion that took place please let me know. Thanks.
