I am searching for any information about my great grandfather Levi Will Easley. He married Velma Garrison. Both were probably born around the late 1800's. They were from Arkansas and/or Mississippi, I believe. Velma was the daughter of Charles and Sarah Garrison. Levi Will and Velma had at least 12 children who lived: Norman, Earl, Clyde, Macie, Lois, Curtis, Paul, Clifford, Louise, Billy, and another daughter and another son, I believe. If anyone has any information about this family, I would be very grateful if you would share it with me. I have not been getting very far in my research of this family. Please help me if you can. Thanks in advance!! I really appreciate it!
Sorry Dawn, I got my information from Ancester.com. Not Rootsweb. I have Hill Spain's social security paper and he says his name is only Hill Spain. I have traced through census and county records and records with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have found the following: Hill Spain was born in Prentis County, Miss and Died in Mississippi County, Ark Jun 1975. His father was Joseph L. Spain, born Winston County, Ala 1870, and his mother was Malinda Emma Falkner. They married 11 Oct 1891 Cullman, Ala. Joseph's father was Felix Grundy Spain born 1833, TN and his mother is Martha A. Felix's father is Samuel D. Spain and he married Rebecca Lumla abt. 1829, in TN. I found all this yesterday and today. You can find information in the 1860, 1870, 1880 census Winston County, Ala and for Joseph L. Spain, he continues in the 1900 census of Prentis Co. Miss, 1910 census Alcorn C. Miss. and Hill Spain is on the 1920 census Alcorn Co., Miss. I will continue to work on this as my time permits and continue to let you know what I find and hope you will do the same.
